Your boat, Cormorant
Cormorant is a 1988 Hans Christian 33t designed by Harwood Ives and handcrafted in the Ta Shing Boatyard of Taiwan. She was conceived at a time when ruggedness was respected and timelessness was paramount. Cormorant holds her own in any seas with a full cutaway keel and 10 tons of displacement.

Traditional style, modern amenities
Cormorant is one of the great examples of blending craftsmanship and bluewater toughness. From the moment you step on deck, you feel her seriousness of purpose—heavy teak cap rails, solid bulwarks, a deep, protected cockpit, and hardware that feels overbuilt for such a stout boat. It carries the unmistakable traditional lines that Hans Christians are known for, paired with the rugged construction that inspires confidence offshore and in rough weather.

Step below, and the character shifts from rugged to warm and inviting. The interior is rich with handcrafted teak joinery, soft lighting, and a thoughtful layout. The saloon offers generous seating around a solid table—perfect for sharing a meal, telling sea stories, or simply enjoying a quiet evening at anchor. There’s enough room for guests to gather comfortably without ever feeling cramped. Just aft of the saloon is the galley, practical and secure for passagemaking, yet spacious enough to actually enjoy cooking aboard. With ample storage, a proper stove and oven, deep sinks, and solid granite counter space, it’s designed to make meals at sea a little easier.

Forward, the private head includes a separate shower area—an amenity that makes extended time aboard far more comfortable. Storage is abundant throughout, berths are generous, and every detail reflects a commitment to quality and longevity.

Cormorant doesn’t just look traditional—she lives up to it structurally and aesthetically. On deck, she’s rugged and ready. Below, she’s refined and welcoming. She's a boat built to cross oceans, then host friends in quiet anchorages with a sundowner.
