Frequently asked questions
General
Our passenger capacity is currently set to six for day charters and four for overnight. Our day charter capacity is set by the USCG and cannot be altered and our overnight is set for passenger comfort and the amount of camping equipment we're able to supply. An overnight capacity of six can be discussed on a case by case basis.
Yes, the maximum capacity is based on human lives on board.
We carry USCG rated life jackets for everyone on board, though you are not required to wear them unless you are under 13 years of age.
Small pets are welcome on board if you can vouch for their good behavior (e.g. they will not try to jump off the boat during the sail, or otherwise endanger themselves or the crew). Please note we do not have pet life jackets, so if you would like your pet to have a vest you should bring one with you.
Yes! We have a marine toilet, also called a head.
Despite Maine’s decriminalization of recreational cannabis, we’re afraid we cannot allow any federally banned drug on board the vessel at this time. Our business, like all other U.S.-based commercial marine activity, is regulated by the US Coast Guard and as such must obey Federal law. If you do enjoy some of Maine's many dispensaries, we ask you not to indulge while you’re out sailing with us.
No, we don’t allow smoking while on the vessel.
Yes! All trips booked with us are BYOB, so come prepared with your favorite beverages.
Yes! Please bring any food or snacks you'd like. A cooler for perishable items is encouraged as we have limited space in our galley refrigerator. Day and overnight charters have a few add on options for quintessential Maine indulgences, but note that these meals only occur once per trip, so please come prepared with any other provisions necessary for the remainder of your excursion.
Please cancel one week in advance of your sail to receive a full refund. Cancellations made with under one week’s notice will receive a 50% refund.
We will still depart in mist, light rain, and passing showers. In the event of poor weather or unsafe conditions determined by the Captain at the time of the sail, we will offer to rebook your sail to a more pleasant day or provide you with a refund.
